This chapter consists of two sections. Section 1.1 defines and describes the archival hierarchical structure. This will support Archival Management System (AMS) users who are new to archives.

Section 1.2 describes the archival workflow at the OSA. Each of the steps in the archival workflow is detailed for both analog and digital materials as well as including links to the required documentation for that workflow step.
